This exhibition is a collection of impressions captured by the artist during travels through Italy, Spain, and Montenegro. These works are more than landscapes — they are personal emotions, light, air, fleeting moments, and emotional memories of places impossible to forget.

Toledo.Spain

Walking through Toledo, I had the feeling that I was inside some ancient fairy tale. Everything around me seemed so unreal — the houses, the streets, the churches, the fortress walls. And at the same time, here I am, right now, walking along these cobblestone streets and stepping into cafés where people of my own time are working.

In southern places, especially in summer and by the sea, painting from life feels especially joyful and uplifting. You can feel your whole body and soul relax, and the brush seems to paint almost by itself. These moments of the deepest peace and contemplation of the incomprehensible beauty of nature are very precious to me.

Noon. When the sun stands high overhead. When the silence seems to ring, and grasshoppers chirp by the shore. I hide beneath an umbrella with my sketchbook and close my eyes for a moment — and when I open them again, I see this miracle of the sea even more vividly.

Ever since I first saw the sea, I have tried to return to it whenever possible. And I cannot help but paint it. It is always alive, always different. Possessing immense energy, it fills me with that energy as well.

In the steppe

In Italy, I especially fell in love with its incredible cypress trees. They create such a beautiful rhythm, almost like notes in a piece of music.

Sunset in the mountains

A sunset in the mountains is something truly extraordinary. The sunlight gradually leaps from one surface to another, creating unique and ever-changing patterns. It feels like watching some incredible film unfold before your eyes.

Sunset at the sea

This is one of my earliest studies, painted during my very first trip to the sea. To say that I was amazed would be an understatement. The sight of this miracle moved me so deeply that, to this day, it remains the most beautiful view in the world to me.

Kontrazhur

For some reason, I am deeply fascinated by backlit moments in nature, and especially by them at the sea. To me, this state feels like a true celebration in painting. Endless reflections create a mesmerizing dance, like a kaleidoscope coming to life before my eyes.

Cypress trees

This study was created based on impressions from a trip through Italy. This country, with its remarkable and unique history, climate, natural beauty, and everything created here by human hands, seems to enchant everyone who has ever visited it, at least once. And I, like many artists, simply cannot help but paint it!

My trip to Montenegro was incredibly fruitful creatively and filled with unforgettable impressions. The mountain ranges surrounding the Bay of Kotor, stretching into the distance in countless layers, create a fascinating rhythm. The light falls differently across them, forming a backdrop for the small coastal towns with their characteristic bell towers standing right at the water’s edge. I walked along the winding serpentine road threading between the mountains and the sea, painting these small travel sketches along the way.

Lake Iseo. Italy

This quick watercolor study was created during a trip through Italy in February 2024. It was an unforgettable experience. I saw a vast lake for the first time — Lake Iseo — surrounded by majestic mountains.
Lately, I have started taking watercolors with me on my travels much more often.

Toledo.Spain

For our honeymoon, we decided to travel to Spain, specifically to Toledo. This city has a distinctive sandy-toned character, surrounded at that time of year by vividly green trees. This study was painted in watercolor and gouache from a viewpoint that we climbed for quite a long time, just to see this remarkable city in its entirety.

In the mountains

Near the shore

Blooming Meadow

These three works are united by a single motif. I am deeply fascinated by the way nature scatters stones across the earth, creating patterns that can sometimes feel truly mesmerizing. Framed by greenery, the white limestone looks like clouds asleep in the sky.In contrast, the painting Blooming Meadow is filled with movement, sunlight, and the vibrant energy of summer. Wildflowers sway in the warm air, creating a feeling of freedom and quiet joy, while the richness of color and light captures the fleeting beauty of nature in full bloom.

Sea.Evening

Back in 2017, we went on a three-week plein air trip to Montenegro, on the shores of the Bay of Kotor. A small hotel was literally perched at the foot of a mountain, almost descending straight into the sea.The balcony of our room opened onto this magnificent view, and I enjoyed working on small studies there, observing how the same scene changed at different times of day and in different weather conditions.
